The video for PTQ Bradford has finally been edited and encoded. I’d like to offer my apologies for its lateness. The simple truth is that life (and a couple of computer crashes) just got in the way. But it’s up, and the next PTQ video will go up a lot faster than this one!
There are two versions (right-click and save):
The MP4 version should be compatible with players such as the iPhone, iPods, and any portable device capable of playing H.264 video. You’ll need Quicktime to watch it on a PC. The WMV version should play on any machine that can play Windows Media format files.
Please let us know what you think of the video. Thanks!
Interesting. Great work, for sure. You guys should do the filming of the events done by Wizards. The coverage was decent as well, though I must admit that the build up was a little redundant, considering the guys didn’t make it top 8, especially the part where the guy claimed he was a great player. In the end, that felt like a joke, intended or no.
Regardless, the video, I feel, was good. I like the skipping ahead at moments that really don’t need to be seen, and the explanations at the bottom of the screen. I even think I liked the fact that there was no announcers, just the voices of the players and the onlookers. It felt as if it was a home game, without speculation as to what the announcers would do if they were in the situations they were watching (when the answers come easy since they know all the cards in hand).
Great job, hope to see more videos.
Hi Tony. Thanks for commenting!
That was Matt Light in the taxi talking about young players not being taken seriously. (I probably should’ve made that clearer). I included it because it felt kind of prophetic in a way that he talked about that on the way there, and then went on to win the PTQ.
Oh, and we’ll gladly do filming for Wizards if they’ll have us. :)
Thanks guys, was great travelling up with you, meeting at leeds station :D
Video was really good quality thanks
great video guys, well made and well filmed.
Hope to see you guys in Bristol in March

“The WMV version should play on any machine that can play Windows Media format files.” - I’m not an expert but what you have written doe’s not explain much. You can watch WMV on any machina capable to play it. Like you could have written that you can watch mp4 on any device which is capable of playing this format ;).
Haven’t seen the video yet so there are no criticism on that yet ;P
Keep up the good work.
