This weekend, Dan and I played in and covered the Pro-Tour Qualifier in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Both of us participated and although we didn’t reach the Top 8, we played some good games regardless.
After joining the ranks of spectators, we turned our attention to covering the Top 8. We taped four games from the Top 8 — two quarter-finals, one of the semi-finals and the final — and took notes on one other quarter-final. We also taped an interview with Matt Light, the eventual winner.
Thanks to Nick Sephton and his team of judges for a well-organised and smoothly-run event. Also, a big shout goes out to everyone we met at the PTQ, and everyone we gave our card-sized flyer to. We hope you’ll check out some past episodes of the podcast and sign up to our forums!
Series 2 will start on January 18th and we’ll talk about the PTQ on that show. Also, barring any unforeseen events, the video from the PTQ will go up at the same time.
