Favourite MTG Set of all Time?
Wow, I feel like I'm just posting these threads for the sake of it. I'll stop soon.
My favourite set of all time is definitely Arabian Nights. I love the book, or book(s), and it was definitely the most flavourful set in Magic. |

RE: Favourite MTG Set of all Time?
I couldn't choose a favorite set really. Favorite story arc was Urza though. That guy had more bad stuff happen to him in his life then Any hobbit could imagine. Urza still to date is probably my favorite character in the setting, and they still haven't made him a planeswalker (TOTALLY SHOULD)
Deck Construct MWS League. Season 2 is just around the corner.Sign ups have started! Check back soon for details! If your interested in signing up send Ezio, or Myself a PM. Official thread is located here.

Mirrodin
Sure the block is broken as hell but that does not stop it from being fun and following an awesome theme. After that it would probably be Ice Age as it has a great concept. Wizards needs to print another block with snow permanents. The story was also awesome which made up for the fact that the cards were either broken or garbage (most of them being garbage). |

RE: Favourite MTG Set of all Time?
So far I really like Lorwyn as a story and Alara as a set.

Ravanica. Big into Wizardry.
But I heard Urza was a pretty epic one. |

RE: Favourite MTG Set of all Time?
Ravnica. Such an awesome draft environment, and the background wasn't too bad, either. The guilds were all nicely defined and the card quality was seriously good. While playing casual at Richmond earlier tonight, some of us were talking about possibly hunting down some RAV/GP/DIS draft sets and drafting it for old times sake.
A close second would be Mirrodin. I didn't get to draft it, but I love how it's almost sci-fi, but not quite. I also have a Legacy Affinity deck.

RE: Favourite MTG Set of all Time?
I really liked the concept behind the Shards of Alara, since the relationships between allied colors has always been an interested topic.
As far as playing goes, I'd have to say Ravnica as well. It was the first set I ever played draft in, and it remains my favorite to this day. Dimir Doppelganger won me every game I managed to play him (her? it?) in. |

RE: Favourite MTG Set of all Time?
I am almost positive that I will be the only one to think so, but Fallen Empires/Homelands I think were a lot of fun. There seemed to be a lot of flavor, and personally I loved the alternate artwork setup.
Also my first post, love the podcast, and am really liking the forum as well. So, hi all
