RE: Patrick Chapin UW Control deck
It is fine but shows sorry state that control is currently in. It is almost entirely constructed to beat jund and to some degree RDW or vampire. The lack of cheap counters is fine as few aggro decks are currently viable and the clock is so slow. Having Path to exile as a one-of also seems a bit odd as it is very solid removal. The fetchlands seem out of place with treasure hunt as you want more lands to draw instead of thinning your deck. The deck can be a good meta-game related deck or can collapse against decks it doesn't hate out. And of course as someone with an irrational hate of cancel that lowers my opinion of the deck.

RE: Patrick Chapin UW Control deck
I really really like the synergies in the deck. Halimar depths plus treasure hunt is awesome. Jace the Mind Sculptor plus any of the fetchlands is also awesome, or plus treasure hunt can be awesome as well.

'No!' says the man in the Vatican, 'It belongs to God.' 'No!' says the man in Moscow, 'It belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture" - Andrew Ryan "After the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box." - Italian Proverb |
