RE: Magic Workstation
These posts are less then a week old. We have been talking about this since like monday I think? Maybe a little before then. But yes, this most likely will be taking place.

RE: Magic Workstation
Cool! I think I may try this! How does it work again? You literally build decks out of air? No payment or anything? Or do I upload my cards that I own?

RE: Magic Workstation
Workstation has the entire library of magic cards which you can use to build decks with. And it is free as long as you have the ads in window.

RE: Magic Workstation
It is a fairly fast download for the base program. It can take a while to download the images for the cards though you do that separately.

MWS FAQ MWS Install Guide Strovil's MWSPlay Guide Malhavoc's little intro about coding scripts in MWS 0.95 MWSPlay Shuffler I think I'm gonna add that to the OP as well. |

RE: Magic Workstation
It's basically a play mat. You put your cards anywhere you really want them. There isn't like triggers or code in the game that tells it what to do. You might as well be playing at a virtual table. You more or less have to do everything yourself. So like when something hit's you, you have to manually set your life total. When you have to draw you move a card from your deck to your hand, when you discard you put things in the graveyard. It's not really hard to figure out and it makes it so when you playing new people you can allow them to take something back, or explain order of the stack. I had my doubts at first, but now after playing on it for around a week, I would have to say that I like it a lot.

RE: Magic Workstation
Yeah, it does allow for much more control than MTGO, as moves can be taken back etc if your opponent agrees, so it's just generally more flexible.

It's hard. Not the game, but just how small the screen size is. The best thing to do would be to hook your netbook up to a regular monitor and play from that. It's what I did. And clicking works instead of moving the card from your library to you hand. Saves some time

RE: Magic Workstation
Ok, I suggest we get cracking on this. Thread's been dead for a little bit so it's about time I pulled it out of the graveyard.
Now that I got my pun of the day out of the way, Lets get a schedule started. Now obviously, it will take place on the weekend. That leaves us a week to practice and do what ever. But my idea was doing it on a saturday, or sunday night. Does that work with you guys? |

RE: Magic Workstation
That works for me. I have a strange problem though. Apparently I cannot host games due to the settings of the network I am on. Whenever I look to see if people are playing no one is listed. I may be able to play with other people if they use my ip address but I can't find anything online to help fix this.
