Sonic 4
Over the last few weeks, Sega has talked about an enigmatic game codenamed Project Needlemouse. Well, today, the real name was announced: it's Sonic 4!
I'm a long-time Sonic fan, going back to the Sega Power magazine previews in 1991, so obviously I'm hugely excited about this. There have been other Sonic games since Sonic 3 came out in 1994, but those have been 3D games and spinoffs (no pun intended!). I don't mind those at all, but Sonic 4 is the true successor to the Mega Drive/Genesis Sonic games. Is anyone else excited about this? Any other Sonic fans here?

RE: Sonic 4
After Sonic 3 and the Sonic and Knuckles bit, I didn't see anything that I liked. A lot of those 3D games killed it for me. I'll have to go take a look at it later and see if it changes my mind.

RE: Sonic 4
Sonic? Another crappy game that Sega beat out of the corpse of their franchise. Wait, it is not 3d? That merits a look....
Wait, it is console exclusive? With my pc I guess I am stuck with Steam and the games I already own. I guess I will live without playing as a hyperactive blue hedgehog (especially since I have not played any sonic game since the first). |

The official site lists WiiWare, XBL Arcade and PSN, plus an extra format that hasn't been announced. Hopefully it'll be PC, but then it might well be PSP or something. |
