Guess the wars over, and I'm disappointed
The Machines have won and the new set is coming out with Pherlexi being the victor. I'm not honestly surprised by the overwhelming support that side had, but to know my people are now dead and a new world is being built greatly saddens me. Curse the day that Urza and his brother made the mistake of opening a portal to that world. I do however look forward to draft and playing in the pre-release and release. The spoiler card that Hobojackal showed me nearly made me wet myself with glee. I hope to see some interesting cards in the coming days spoilers. Smile

Oh i can assure you there will be rebelion and phyrexia will be destroyed. Its a matter of WHEN not IF. Now we wait...

"I go against the flow of everyone else. People turn to one tactic i turn to a different tactic. They turn to one card i turn to a different card. By staying different from everyone else no one knows what i'll have and i can surprize and most likely destroy my opponent from his lack of preparedness."

RE: Guess the wars over, and I'm disappointed
This is from a Phyrexia fanboy:
Its not surprising that Phyrexia won as they are the iconic big bad of MTG (lets not discuss Nicol Bolas). However it appears that this is no longer the Phyrexia we know and love but instead something far different with separate factions within it vying for power. And the Mirran forces are not completely gone so seeing a rebellion once Phyrexia has spread to other planes would not be surprising.

Remember however Yawgmoth may not be dead, and his return would be a great asset to the newly reformed Phyrexian forces.

What disappoints me most about the Mirran defeat, is that to me it seems more like Phyrexia won more because they had a much cooler mechaninc rather than any fluff reason. At least that's my impression. It would have been nice if they would have reprinted a card to remove poison, because that's just killer.

RE: Guess the wars over, and I'm disappointed
I felt sad by the defeat of the mirrodin side I couldn’t help but fell that it was planed from the beginning when I I opened the first scars booster and got to see that poison was back.
Being the only one of my friends that was on the mirrodin side and got to hear the reason why they where on the Phyrexia side was poison is an cool and awesome mechanic.
I never felt that the mirrodin got anything that was on the same level of power.
On a side note the infect card that made up mind about the outcome of the war was Hand of the Praetors

Oh well I will fight in the rebellion to come and hope that they make a super lux cannon to burn the poison from my beloved mirrodin.

http://magiccards.info/hl/en/111.html I would swear about how this is on the reserved list. If they would get off their high and mighty horse and make it a card game again and not a collecting thing. How would the tides have changed at Mirrodin if we had had access to a card like this? *goes off fuming at WOTC*

Dont panic, there is a card thats going to stifle infect, at elast somewhat.

1G
Legendary Creature - Human Shaman
You cant get poison counters
Creatures you control cant have -1/-1 counters placed on them
Creatures your opponent control loose infect
2/2

Seems like its better that Leeches to me, personally.

In a lot of ways it is. That's nice to see. However since I rarely run green it's of little help to me lol. And the way I would deal with the life loss of leeches is in an artifact deck with a golem's heart to try to mitigate some of the life loss. But meh. Too late to defeat the Phyrexians lol. Next time. We'll stop them at the next plane.

Also, the block was always going to have New Phyrexia in it, initially, it was going to be the first set in the block, and move on towards mirrodin pure, but that made no sense story-wise, so they shipped it over this way, and yes, the phyrexians WILL be on other planes, that much we know too.
