The goal of the deck is to ramp as fast as possible into the bigger power 5 guys. If you can reach the where ancients tread either earlier or by cascade then it becomes a very defensive deck trying to kill the opponent merely by putting things into play.

There isn't a major amount of removal so the deck requires that you play fast and block smart.
