Saito was banned from the DCI for slow play (big surprise there) but if you don't care about pros then that does not matter.

EDH (now called commander) is the official multiplayer product for 2011.

Scars has proved to be relatively underpowered and not to brought the end of magic as we know it.

Survival of the fittest is likely going to be banned in legacy because of its combo with vengevine.

That is all the interesting things I can think of, yeah mtg has been that exciting.
