Show 85
Alex,
First of all, thank you very much for a great show that I look forward to every week. I had a couple of thoughts while listening to show 85. The first of which is that it is a bit of a surprise that WoTC has taken this long to change their model. After being swallowed by Hasbro, I personally imagined that they would limit the distributorship channels even further. I also think that based on the responses, there may be a change to this WPN ruling. Something like exemptions. The other thing that I wanted to bring up is a bit of a complaint, but please take it with a grain of salt. I was a little bummed that there was no "real" MtG discussion. What I look forward to the most with your show is not really the analysis of tourneys, or popular decks, but the analysis of particular home-brew ideas on meta decks and the analysis of individual cards and their weight in the set/format. I do like hearing about the DCMWSL and RLL, and tourney reports are good, but not the most important to me personally. I just hoped for some more magic content, not just the extraordinary bummer that the WPN rules changes were. Thanks for reading this.

Chris

RE: Show 85
Not replying to you directly chris, just a comment about the new rulings that I can see even more rural areas having issues with this. I am in the US (in RI - Hasbro's main office is actually about 20 minutes away from me). I just wanted to post an agreement that your perspective is correct.. I am in RI - and within 20 minutes basically any direction I have about 5 locations that host these events.. but I was actually kind of surprised that such a large city/area like London does not have any larger shops that host events like that. Regardless I do agree the new rulings will kill a lot of rural and casual magic gatherings.
