i found out today that WOTC are holding extra prizes for the up and coming gameday and are also spliting the sealed prere for mirrordin besieged using the two factions "watermarks" currently seen on the Scars Of Mirrordin set

whats peoples views on this??

i think its an ok idea if you local area holds multipule events of each kinds(gameday weekends, prere weekends ect) i know my local store only runs one day for the game days and i think runs two day of prere events and if you can afford to go to several events at a time

I've heard some people say that the Mirrodin Besieged pre-release might be the "best worst-attended" pre-re ever. Those faction packs will only be issued at the pre-re, which means unopened ones will be worth something in a few years time. Some people might register then just bail.

I like the affiliation idea for the gameday, and I wish I could play (whose bright idea was it to schedule the gameday on Halloween weekend!). I'd go Phyrexia, because of infect, proliferate and cookies (it's the dark side, after all). Smile

i aggree with the weekend they put the gameday on its a bit silly. not to sure about people entering and dropping out. and you never know they might do faction packs at the last pre re of this block aswell

i've got a deck built that due to a certain card that there is 3 copies of in my deck isnt affiliated but could quite easily go mirran affiliated just by swapping said card with a 5/5 metal dragon (clearly not hinting there haha) Tongue

and i'm all set due to my deck would work fairly well with either i think
