Thoughts on Pauper?

So there is the style of magic where you are only allowed to use common cards. Now I like pauper magic because it makes it so players will smaller amounts of magic can easily build and play a decent deck. I was wondering how the DC league felt about including one day of pauper events in the lineup? This wouldn't be this season, it would be for season two. I plan on having some more events in season 2 as well. Depending on how me and my co-runners can time manage it. Let me know what styles you guys would like to see hit the league.

Pauper is an interesting format and I would not be opposed to playing it if it was the format that MTGO has. Making a deck with just commons with only the cards that are on MTGO gives almost all of legacies commons (except from a few older sets). If it was with a smaller pool of cards like standard then I would be less interested as the number of interesting and playable decks drops significantly.

I would love to see EDH on the MWS league but I don't want to play 1v1 and MWS does not have support for more players. If a clever way to implement it was determined then I think it could be a fun addition.

I'd agree with EDH. I would love to try it out but it doesn't seem like something that's doable at the moment. I'm all for the idea of pauper through the sets not stopping with standard. I'm trying to limit the amount of Limitations on construction. I like typical standard but I don't feel that standard Pauper would be all that great.

Pauper is a fun format to play in as alot of traditional decks don't work and allows more creativity.

I didn't think about this as it already seems a lot to ask players to have one simulator for playing the game online. I might consider something for EDH if we can use the same system to play our regular games on it as well.

you can play EDH on mws in a fassion you just got to search you deck for your general 1st before shuffling

The problem with MWS is that it only allows for 1v1 which is pretty boring for EDH. It would be preferable to get pods of 4 and use one of the goal or democratic victory conditions which is not possible with MWS.
