Scars of Mirroden [Spoilers]

So it's come to my attention that there has been no spoiler thread on SOM. So I decided to make one.

As of 9.21.2010 there's only 153 out of the 249 cards in the set.

Legacy affinity gets new toys, new awesome dual lands, awesome remakes of power cards (like rachet bomb), cool new mechanics and simply being back on mirrodon.

And most importantly: There are Phryrexians!

I'm pretty excited about the new cards. Can't wait for the pre-release this weekend!

Now that the entire set is spoiled it looks pretty sweet (if that was not already apparent). It looks like a more balanced version of mirrodin which is not a bad thing. My favorite cards currently are mox opal for legacy affinity and perilous myr as a colorless card that fits into aggro to make my RDW phyrexian affiliated. I hope I am able to make it to the prerelease for this set, I guess it is time to blackmail everyone I know with cars.

Well now that I've gone through the entire spoiler I can say it does look exciting. I'm interested to see what happens to standard now that the new spoilers are out. I'm liking the mechanic Profilate and got a feeling I'll be building a deck around it. Standard still includes planeswalkers so is this going to make it easy to trigger the planewalkers major ability? I'm also now not sure about how I feel about Steel Overseer as a card. I'm sure he's going to go up in price a little ways. I can't wait now for the next DCMWS league standard event.

I am just about on the edge of my seat when it comes to the pre release. I've been saving my money for a month, I've been listening to podcasts, reading articles, everything Mirrodin related. I can not wait. It seems like it's going to be a really fun set. Can't want for the Sealed deck and drafts! Good luck cracking packs, everyone.
