As it's two weeks away I'm just seeing who knows for sure whether they are or aren't going to be able to make it to the legacy event? Just let me know I'm trying to get an idea of how many we will be having.
I for sure will be there and I believe I have commitment from Penguin this round as well.

I will definitely be there. Even if it involves fist-fighting Nazis, alien abductions, circa 1950s underwater utopias and wandering through nuclear wastelands.

Don't look at me like that, those are all worst case scenarios that could occur and try to take my attention away from legacy game day.

The first was more of an Indiana Jones reference (I am studying archaeology), the second was just more a random unlikely event (though I suppose fallout 3 with the mothership zeta dlc would count), after that I just fell back to video games referencing bioshock like you said and then Stalker call of pripyat (though fallout 3 works too).

All good Jackal, play from where you can if you can man. Looking forward to this one highly. I haven't ever competed in anything Legacy. I'm still unsure of what deck I want to run but luckily I have ample time to test a few out to see what's most comfortable.

and browncoat in order I actually meant my guesses to be Call of Duty, Prey, Bioshock, and Fallout 3. lol

Hey guys. I'm totally new to this (Deck Construct and MWS, not Magic) and wanted to drop in to say hello. I've just found the podcast recently on iTunes and started listening and I think its a good one.

I'd actually never even heard of MWS prior to the podcast though, and so I went through and downloaded and installed everything and built my legacy deck, but now I'm interested in playing and I'm not totally sure how to do it. Is it something that I have to pre-schedule with someone else that uses MWS or can I just go find open games somehow?

You actually can just find open games though I rarely see anyone playing legacy. (Something I'm hoping to change by having more people in there playing legecy). When you open the icon for MWS play it should open a box asking you to connect to a server. The pre-programmed server that's in you can call and there's usually a few spots open for play. Just as in Magic Online there are those players that quit out early, and do other things like that, so usually when I find someone that is friendly I keep playing them till they refuse me an additional match.

i'll be playing i think i got the deck i want to run worked out and if anyone wants a pre event match to get used to the mws PM me and i'll arange a time to play ^_^

I'll be up. I'm so sad I missed the Standard event. This will be my first time playing Legacy, so I'm really looking forward to it. Also, since Scars of Mirrodin releases on 2-3 October, will we be allowed to use the set?

i shouldnt see why we couldnt use it coz like you said it releases that weekend anyway

Yes you may use Scars cards. I didn't intentionally plan for it to land that way but since it did I'm not against them being used provided that the files are avalible on MWS. It does take time for them to update the master database when new sets come out. Might have to live without pictures for now though.

i believe that mtg salvation have got a "working" patch that could be used as a temp if players were wishin to use Scars right away
