How do old school MTG players get back into the game?

I have not played MTG in over 5 years, I have alot of original cards that some of the newer players I've met have never even seen. How should do I get back into MTG and were should I start, which set?...

I would recommend drafting one time with the new set. Generally if you drafted quite a bit before hand you will know what cards look good. If it's been that long I would also talk to some people before the game about what has changed in the rules since then. Currently drafting is a lot of M11 core set and it's a really fun set to draft. I think it would be good to relearn on since you will recognize some of the staple cards.

I know how you feel! I've been out for about 10 years, and I just got started again. I bought a pair of intro decks at my local game store to play a bit with my wife and friends. A few weeks later, I entered an M11 sealed deck event (make a deck out of 6 random M11 boosters), and that was an awesome restart. I saw a lot of cards from the new core set, had some nice competitive play, and kickstarted my card collection again.

How I restarted was a little expensive. I start out by purchasing a m11 core seems to be a good place you get some cards you may have seen before. Then I drafted Scars. I work fridays so I was not able to draft all that much. I purchased more cards after some research. I purchased a booster box worldwake after I heard it was out of print. Bought a box of scars. I have purchased singles to build out my decks I have created.
