Selective Memory deck
Was trying to think of a combo deck for casual play, but would like people thoughts on it:
•4 x Polymorph •4 x Inkwell Leviathan •2 x Mirror of Fate •2 x Mind Spring •4 x Lorthos, the Tidemaker •4 x Quest for Ula's Temple •4 x Selective Memory •1 x Wrexial, the Risen Deep •4 x Halimar Depths •2 x Treasury hunt Then the card below to give me some free dudes: 4 x Khalni Garden I'd then put some more one drop dudes in, and lands. But my thought it to get the Quest to trigger, i can the strip out of the deck with selective memory any non monster guys and polymorph away. Or if i have the mirror of fate out, i can selective memory all my big dude set of the mirror and have 7 monster creatures and stomp in for game. Any suggestions would be greatly received. |

RE: Selective Memory deck
I guess my first question is why do you need selective memory? I also want to break the card but polymorph based decks seem a bit strange (especially with the quest for ula's temple build). I would recommend separating this into two decks: a polymorph deck and a quest deck. The reason for this is that polymorph wants token generators and the quest wants lots of creatures.
Polymorph loves cards like dragon fodder, goblin assault and the khalni garden. This means you want to play red. You also want to run better targets than the krakens and leviathans. Darksteel collosus, progenitus and Iona, shield of emeria are better targets. For the Ula's temple deck you want stacks of creatures. Kraken hatchling is a solid one-drop that fits the requirements of the quest. Nemesis of reason is another silly card for the deck. The nemesis also allows you to play more Wrexial, the risen deep. The thoughts behind the selective memory was, i could strip any small creatures out of the deck once i had enough creatures to trigger Uls's temple. The reason i had both this and polymorph was then i would be able to play the big creatures if they are in my hand or deck. |

RE: Selective Memory deck
I will admit I had not thought of that use of selective memory. In that case I would remove the polymorph and token generators. You should have enough cards in hand to play with the quest to not need to dilute your deck for polymorph. I would change the mind springs to treasure hunts. Otherwise I would add some of the other cards I suggested earlier.
