I'm just confused about these cards. If I am to play an arcane spell with splice onto arcana, do I then reveal the card and add the effect a single time but I can still hold the spell? Or is it that I reveal the card and expend it by using Splice Onto arcana when I cast the other spell? Just curious as to how this mechanic works as I'm a bit confused by it. Also if I cast an arcane spell and splice a spell, can I splice the same spell from the same card a second time if I have the available mana?
When you cast the first spell with arcane, you pay the extra mana to splice a second spell onto it from your hand. You reveal the card/s from your hand that you are splicing onto the current spell as its on the stack. The effects of the spells you had spliced onto the first one are all added to the first spell, and the others remain in your hand.
okay. Can each copy of a spell in your hand only be spliced into an arcane spell a single time or could I splice a spell twice if I had the avalible mana. This is of course meaning single copies of each card in hand.
If im not mistaken it can be done multiple times as long as you have the avalible mana.
You can only splice each spell onto one spell once each, because its as the main spell is being cast i believe.
