This weekend on Sunday Mark's the first game day that we will be having towards the MWS tournament. If you are going to make it to the event, I need you to send me your deck list in a PM before the tournament starts. I will be in ventrilo starting at 11:00 CMT Sunday Morning (5:00pm for you GMT folks).

Remember that it's not required to have a microphone but it is required to have ventrilo running so that we can communicate more easily. I'd be happy to help anyone between now and then set up for the coming game day.

Hope to see you there!
But wouldn't giving you the decklists give you a breakdown of the meta and let you tailor your deck to trump it?

Also do you have any idea how many rounds and how long the tournament may go on? I don't have anything else to do Sunday but it is nice to be able to plan out how much time I am spending and to be able to tell my roommate that I am busy during a set period of time.
Didn't think about that. The goal isn't for me to re-tool my deck for the meta though either. I was trying to mimic everything they do at the tournies I've played in. Can you suggest a better way going about collecting deck lists before games that would be more fair?

Every Single time I have an event there will be five rounds. That way you have the same opportunity to get the same number of points each event. There isn't really a final four or final event in these games since we are actually playing for the most points by the end of the six month period for the prize. Though if the points wind up having a tie in them at the end of six months we will have a tie-breaker match to decide the winner.
i think it could be an idea for everyone who is particiapting to submit a deck list say 5 min before the event is due to start in the forum for the league and once submitted is then not aloud to alter the deck. that way noone has time to alter the deck. its only an idea if it good or bad i dont know but theres my idea
My proposal would be to have someone act as a judge and collect all the lists (they could even deal with rules disputes if necessary). As everyone wants to play this is problematic but currently there is an odd number of people signed up for the league one person will be sitting out anyway. As an incentive to get volunteers you could give them 3 wins and not let them organize the next event. This stops the judge from winning or placing too highly while never playing.

Or we could just send lists to you and trust that you don't use the info against us. I really do not care but I figured I would point out a small problem with your set-up that could be brought up if you started to do really well in events with decks that seem to exploit the meta.
I'm more inclined to have lists sent to me. I'm not going to cheat, and as I said if I won I wouldn't be claiming any prize at all. The prize will go to the second place person if I place the top. I'll play my hardest either way because I enjoy competitive magic more then casual games. Does anyone have an issue with that? Ill check this thread up to the event daily to see what you all think.
I'm ready. Getting back into the Magic groove this month. Currently got some decks in mind playing against you foo's.

I set the games for GMT since that's the 00-00 for the world clock. 6:00 pm GMT would be for england, It's noon for me here. I'm guessing it will be late or very late if you live in Australia.
Yeah, more than likely, but thats what COFFEE was invented for! *laughs maniacally*
