Hey all! i'm gonna be taking this to the M11 game day tomorrow and i wanted your opinion on it!
The point of the Deck is to play out as many defenders as possible and use Vent Sentinel's ability for the win. Card draw is key in this beck because you've got no other way to hit the Sentinel. Card choices are below the deck
Decklist:
Creatures:
4 Perimeter Captain
4 Wall of Omens
4 Wall of Denial
4 Vent Sentinel
Other Spells:
3 Negate
2 Mana Leak
3 Ajani Vengeant
3 Path to Exile
2 Smite
3 See Beyond
2 Forsee
2 Temple Bell
Lands:
4 Jungle Shrine
4 Scalding Tarn
2 Glacial Fortress
2 Sejeri Refuge
4 Mountain
4 Island
4 Plains
Sideboard:
3 Celestial Purge
2 Day of Judgment
2 Smite
2 Solemn Offering
1 Cancel
2 Rite of Replication
3 Spreading Seas
CARD CHOICES:
Perimeter Captain: Solid 0/4 for W that works as life-gain.
Wall of Omens: 0/4 Body that cantrips, four please!
Wall of Denial: Flying and Shroud, good against everything but pro-white and a creature attached with Eldrazi Conscription
Vent Sentinel: Your win-con. draw into this ASAP
Enclave Cryptologist: Looter, but i'm considering taking this out, because in all my sideboard planning, at least one of these hits the 'board
Negate: Good 2 mana Counterspell
Mana Leak: See above
Ajani Vengeant: All-around goodness. Need i say more?
Smite: I play this one like a 1 mana Divine Verdict, functions the same way with your defenders
See Beyond: Draws 2 cards for 1U and shuffles back an unneeded card.
Treasure Hunt: Considering taking this out for another see beyond. usually just cantrips for me.
Temple Bell: 3 mana Howling Mine that activates on opponents end step for everyone
Jungle Shrine: Budget choice over Arid Mesa
Scalding Tarn: I had 4 of these already, better not waste them, huh?
Sideboard Options:
Celestial Purge: versus Jund and Vampires
Day of Judgment: Malakir Bloodwitch screws me over bad...
Smite: Why not?
Solemn Offering: Pithing Needle naming Vent Sentinel is bad, really, really, bad.
Cancel: Extra counterspell
Rite of Replication: Offers an alternate win-con targeting their random fatty, kills their legends, trades w/ pro white stuff, etc, etc.
Spreading Seas: Kill Jund's turn 2-3 play plus cantrip is good...
Thanks!
