This is just a little concept I was working with. Trying to find a way to build a landfall deck to compete out there with what's around. I didn't want to do Boros so I made this one have a twist. The early game use the Geopede's to swing for damage and use early burn to deal damage to the opponents creatures to move them. If I can manage to get a decent protean hydra out later game if it gets there I can self burn it to attack with a bigger creature or hold my burn for later. Should things be looking bad I can use destructive force to clear the board.

The actual ending move is to get out the hyrda, and get it to survive the destructive force and swing with a huge hydra the next turn when the board is empty. I am working on sideboard to make the deck stand up to the meta in my area. Plummetwill be a 4 of copied spell to take place of searing in the event I'm fighting fliers. I haven't really figured out what else I want to do since this deck is still just in the formation stages. Going to run some tests tonight with this and my Grixis Mill Pyromancer Deck. Ideas/thoughts appreciated.
After deck testing this deck I can say that there are things that it does that I like. I feel like there isn't enough draw to the deck to keep it's momentum. Normally I'm against adding something like Howling mine to a deck. It helps the opponent out as often as it does myself too frequently. However I can't think of a better way except maybe to use Crystal Ball's to scry the next few cards and hopefully nick something I need or want. The combos that I expected to happen and work would have, if not for a well timed Mana-leak I think the game I played with Browncoat may have gone differently. However the blue deck that he was playing ended this one pretty quickly.

I recently played a G/R haste deck that was pretty damn nasty. Guy was playing Jund Hackblades, The new Ball of lightening guy, and the artifacts that tap for mana but require you to return a land to your hand when they come into play. His 5 drop of the deck was Spellbreaker Behemoth. Nasty card for a finisher. His damage output worked out really well. I might steal some of his ideas for this deck.
