Hi there. I am a veteran magic player from the Urza's era and returning to magic after a long time. Been listening to the podcast and heard about these forums. Been playing MTGO since Elzdrazi came out and I had a few questions and looking for pointers on how to improve this deck since I want to play at a local magic shop.

This deck is a slightly modified version of a deck "Bamboozled" that I saw on the internet that is working very well for me on mtgo. Its very fast and is based around raid bombardment, but doesn't need it to win. I really wanted to make a tournament worthy deck around this card since I saw it in the last set.

There is a nice synergy with Chandra's Spitfire from 2011 that I want to incorperate to this deck. Her ability allows her to pump up for each non combat damage dealt to opponent. So if I had 2 goblins and her attack, three raid bombards trigger and she gets +9/+0. I am stuggling if its worth it to work it in and break the goblin synergy with siege gang commander.

The other idea was to work in 2 more Ember Haulers as it works great in this deck, but no haste and it does slow it down a bit.

Creatures
4x Siege-Gang Commander
2x Ember Hauler
4x Goblin Guide
4x Goblin Arsonist
4x Goblin Bushwhacker
Enchantments
4x Raid Bombardment
Land
18x Mountain
2x Tectonic Edge
3x Teetering Peaks
Spells
4x Burst Lightning
4x Lightning Bolt
1x Staggershock
2x Banefire
4x Dragon Fodder

Sideboard
4x Grotag Siege-Runner
4x Magma Spray
4x Forked Bolt
3x Quenchable Fire

The second question I had is how to sideboard against the decks that are running right now - Naya, Bant, RDW, Mythic, etc...

I have the Grotag Siege-Runner against U/W control and more specifically wall of omens as the siege runner can blow up and kill it and also deal 2 damage to the opponent. Magma spray is against recursion (Venge, Ghast). Forked bolt is for mythic on their mana guys (birds, nobles, cobras) and can kill 2 at a time. Quenchable Fire is one I put in against non blue decks for that extra oomph.

Any thoughts or advice you can give me would be welcome.

Thank You!
Nice to have you on board!

I like the look of the deck. Just wish there was a way to get some card draw.

I think you're right on the chandra's spitfire, as there's not too many fliers doing the rounds at the moment besides baneslayer and a few sphinxes when they appear. Spitfire is one card I was joyous to see for the red team, an evasive pumpable attacker that has synergy with what red generally does. I'm not sure if I like it more or less than Kiln fiend and the fiend can get going earlier, and be pumped from spells that remove it's obstacles. I need to play some red deck to find out.

Magma spray is a good spell at the moment. Recursion sucks. Brittle effigy would be my other pick. Expensive, but you can nail anything. And with the titans and so on no doubt getting popular (and baneslayer etc), not too pricey I think. It also answers Kor Firewalker. Not a good answer, but better than losing maybe? I'm unsure about this as I'm theorizing. Not had much time last two months...

I personally would not be too perturbed by changing siege gang as he rotates out of standard soon, so I'd work what you have for now to enjoy it and then work in something that works more with the spitfire when he leaves.
Brittle Effigy defiantly would be good against Firewalker. I was wondering how to deal with him.

Thanks for the suggestion!
I will admit to not liking banefire in most decks (urzatron is the only one I can think off the top of my head). While having a finisher is nice, I think you would rather stick with the flexibility of staggershock adding two more copies. With the amount of burn you are running kiln fiend may not be a bad choice as you can keep the field clear and swing for a ton while having a creature that triggers the bombardment. You may also want to find some space for devastating summons as you are already running the bushwackers and have a low enough curve that losing a few lands for some finishing creatures would not hurt. Maindeck goblin ruinblasters have never been a bad thing in my opinion and could definitely have a place in your deck, or in the side if you don't see as many nonbasics. I would definitely take them over quenchable fire, a card I have never been a fan of especially now with staggershock.

I don't know how I feel about spitfire in the deck. It seems amusing but does not seem that good. It seems either win-more, making your kill faster or is just a bad kiln fiend that does not trigger when you target creatures, which in this sort of deck you generally want to do. The bombardment's combo with it seems fun but not a reason to include it.

One note: you messed up the autocarding. To autocard wild mongrel you would type [c]wild mongrel[c] with a / before the last c.
