That's it for the podcast for now. Listen to this show to hear what's happening to DC in the future!

It’s Friday and show 36, the last show of series 3, is now online. It’s also the last show for a long, long time (probably). This is because, as we explain in the show, Dan is going back to Malaysia and so we won’t be able to get together to do the show anymore. We do explain what will happen with the site after today, though (it’s not going anywhere!).

Also in this week’s show, we talk about the colours of Shards of Alara and how they’ve been given names and put into “colour tribes” of sorts. Finally, we talk about the Wizards Play Network (WPN) and how you can use it to get a playgroup started if there isn’t one in your area.

Our email is show@deckconstruct.com if you want to get in touch, and our forums are around as well. They’re like an oasis of calm in the hectic world of the Magic Internet. The Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo channels are also kicking around if you feel like getting your Web 2.0/social networking/other internet buzzword on.

As always, thanks for listening and thanks if you’ve subscribed, or spread the word about the show; it’s these “silent” activities that matter for a podcast. It might be a good idea to stay subscribed if you already are because we have a few audio-based things planned. Obviously it won’t be the podcast itself, but things like the Sketches series and, who knows, maybe even Dan’s “Call from Malaysia” thing that he mentions in this week’s show.

So, with that, we bow out of the podcast world for a while. But, to quote Winston Churchill: “Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning”.

It’s a beautiful day in London, and it’s time for DC show 34 to hit the net, which this week weighs a chunky 50 minutes.

This week we continue our Archetypes of Magic series with a look at combo. Firstly we try to define what combo actually is and talk about it for a bit, then we dive straight into Magic’s combo past with a look at some significant combo decks from days gone by. As promised, we’ve also shot an accompanying video, Clash of the Combos, for this show which will be available on Monday, July 28.

As mentioned in the show, we’ll be away until August 22nd when we’ll return with an M-Fest special. This is because I’m flying off to sunnier climes for a few weeks, and Dan is going to be busy with summer stuff, too.

As always we’d love to hear what you think about the show at show@deckconstruct.com. We’re also around on Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and Twitter.

We also talk about Standard post-Eventide, with a look at some cards from the set and also a brand new combo-based deck whose combo is made up of common and uncommon cards!
As always we really like receiving feedback, which can be sent to show@deckconstruct.com. We’re also on YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo and now Twitter as well. Our tweets will be about pretty much anything Magic-related (and some things that aren’t), including show updates.
Thanks for listening!

Show 31 is a bit late this week due to technical difficulties of a hosting nature, and we apologise for that. However, it’s all been sorted now. We’ve kept the date as July 4 for continuity purposes (and because it just looks better in a strange sort of way).

This week’s show is partly about the future (as seen from the present) as we look at Eventide. We talk about cards that could be future constructed staples, as well as cards that might not be, but caught our eye all the same.
We also talk about GP Buenos Aires which was a Standard GP that took place last weekend. It was a Summer Series GP, which meant extra pro points to the victor.

<itunes:summary>It’s Friday the 13th, but that won’t stop us from bringing you show 28!
This week, we talk about playtesting. We go through what a gauntlet is and what a current Standard one would look like. We also talk about dos and and don’ts of playtesting, and recount some of our own experiences.
As always, you can reach out and touch us in an email sense at show@deckconstruct.com, or hit up our Web 2.0 places at Facebook, YouTube or Vimeo.

We’re back! Series 3 kicks off today with show 27. It’s our longest yet at 50 minutes, but that’s because we had a lot to talk about this week.

In this week’s show, we catch up with Pro-Tour Hollywood and GP Birmingham, and what the Standard and Block metagames respectively look like after those events. We also discuss the changes announced last Monday which will kick in when Shards of Alara comes out.

In addition to all that, we also talk about the raid on the Vintage format that the DCI announced last Monday, when some very notable blue cards were placed on the latest restricted list.

As always, we love hearing from you. Aim and fire an email at show@deckconstruct.com, or head over to our forums and join the community that’s slowly brewing there. We’re also on the usual Web 2.0 destinations, otherwise known as Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo.
